Job Summary:

The General Laborer will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of vehicle barriers. This position involves a variety of tasks, including material handling, assembly, and quality control, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials, such as steel and other components, within the manufacturing facility using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Assembly: Assist in the assembly of vehicle barriers, following detailed instructions and using hand and power tools.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, keeping the workspace clean and organized.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or plant manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
