Job Summary:
The General Laborer will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of vehicle barriers. This position involves a variety of tasks, including material handling, assembly, and quality control, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials, such as steel and other components, within the manufacturing facility using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Assembly: Assist in the assembly of vehicle barriers, following detailed instructions and using hand and power tools.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, keeping the workspace clean and organized.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or plant manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
